Saatchi & Saatchi New York has made three key hires: executive creative director Paul Bichler and the creative team of Luca Lorenzini and Luca Pannese (a.k.a. Luca & Luca). Bichler served as group creative director of Droga5 since February 13. Luca & Luca comes over from Saatchi’s Milan office.
Bichler and Luca & Luca add to the talent infusion at Saatchi NY which includes 30 integrated creative hires whom Saatchi NY CCO Jay Benjamin has brought into the agency fold since he assumed his role in April 2014
At Droga5, Bichler led creative for the American Express and Hennessy brands. A graduate of the University of Michigan, Paul has held several senior creative management positions throughout his 20 year career, including executive creative director at JWT New York (2008-2010), creative director at Barlet Bogle Hegarty (2006-2008), and creative director at Fallon (2002-2006). He has worked with brands including American Express, AXE, BMW, Dos Equis, Hennessy, and Sony. His work has been highly awarded by the major award shows and recognized by The New York Times and The Wall Street Journal.
Global creative directors Luca & Luca are most recently known for their emotive storytelling work in the multiple Cannes-honored campaigns on behalf of Coordown, the Italian organization that champions the rights of people with Down Syndrome. This creative duo has also done esteemed international work on Toyota, Lexus, T-Mobile, Renault, and Novartis. Luca & Luca have worked together since 2000, racking up numerous prestigious awards, including 17 Lions–nine of which were Gold–in the last three years. They recently bid Italy a fond farewell in a YouTube video, “Don’t Cry for Me Saatchi & Saatchi,” which describes their emotional journey and love for Saatchi & Saatchi by way of an Andrew Lloyd Webber parody.
