Heineken’s web film The Legendary Making Of Date–directed by Zak & Dan of Sonny, London, for Wieden+Kennedy, Amsterdam–earned Film Grand Prix distinction at the Eurobest Festival awards ceremony which took place last night at the São Luiz Theatre in Lisbon. The jury awarded a total of 398 winners from over 4800 entries. Germany took home the most awards (103 trophies), followed by France (52), Sweden (41), Belgium (36) and the United Kingdom (33).
The Legendary Making Of Date is a tongue-in-cheek look behind the scenes of the latest global Heineken commercial. Parodying the typical “making of” we have all seen before, The Legendary Making Of finds our Man Of The World relaxing on set, and taking us on a tour of the unusual scenes that are par for the course on a Heineken shoot. The guerilla -style film captures the weird and wonderful; and our host inadvertently reveals that even away from the cameras the stars of a Heineken commercial are truly legendary.
Heading the W+K team were creative directors Mark Bernath and Eric Quennoy.
Mattias Montero was the DP. Spencer Ferszt of Marshall Street Editors, London, cut the piece, with postproduction handled by The Mill, London.
