Anonymous Content Brazil–Anonymous Content’s joint venture, with an investment from Creative Artists Agency (CAA)–has appointed Renata Dumont as managing director and executive producer to lead the company’s advertising operations of the commercial division. In her role, she will be overseeing the development of new projects with agency and brand partners.
Dumont’s appointment signifies an important move for the Brazilian operation to strengthen its commercial film business in the country. The advertising operation, in partnership with Rebolucion, is preparing to cast directors for productions in this segment, with announcements expected soon.
“Advertising has become a significant part of Anonymous Content’s global operation, and now we are replicating this model here in Brazil,” said Dumont.
On the advertising side, Anonymous Content has worked with brands such as Apple, Nike, Amazon, Netflix, Coca-Cola, and HP. Most recently, at the 2024 Cannes Lions, Anonymous Content was awarded the Grand Prix in Entertainment for their documentary “We Are Ayenda,” created in partnership with WhatsApp and agency Modern Arts, which tells the extraordinary story of the Afghan Youth Women’s National Football Team and their remarkable escape from Afghanistan after the Taliban took power in 2021. In addition, the Anonymous Content advertising slate has garnered numerous awards over the years at festivals including AICP, D&AD, Ciclope, Cannes Lions and the Clio Awards.
Dumont is an executive producer with 20 years of experience working in commercial production companies. She started in São Paulo as head of sales for Latin America at Hungry Man and then worked her way to become a managing director/executive producer at Delicatessen and Stink. Her leadership on the production of campaigns such as “COMA” for Getty Images, “Print for Help” for HP and “Sprite Shower” for The Coca-Cola Company led her to receive global awards at Cannes Lions, D&AD, Clio, Ciclope and El Ojo.
Since Anonymous Content Brazil’s inception, the production company has been working to build its content slate on the film and television side and recently struck a deal with About Entertainment, the content arm of the Argentine production company led by director and writer Armando Bo, to develop and co-produce television series and advertising content for the Latin American market.
Current Anonymous Content Brazil film and television projects include a documentary series about Brazilian football player Sócrates, directed by Walter Salles, which is in postproduction, and Perfect Days (Dias Perfeitos), an eight-episode adaptation of Raphael Montes’ novel, directed by Joana Jabace, both for Globoplay. Anonymous Content Brazil is producing these projects while also developing fiction and non-fiction projects for various partners in the region.
Current Anonymous Content film and television projects include the recently released features Foe, starring Saoirse Ronan, Paul Mescal and Aaron Pierre, and The Marsh King’s Daughter starring Daisy Ridley; the highly anticipated upcoming film adaptation of Colson Whitehead’s Pulitzer Prize-winning novel, The Nickel Boys; the recently released fourth season of True Detective starring Jodie Foster; the upcoming series Time Bandits from Taika Waititi; Disclaimer from Alfonso Cuarón starring Cate Blanchett; limited series East of Eden starring Florence Pugh with Zoe Kazan set to adapt; and Savant starring Jessica Chastain.
