The One Club for Creativity has added three top industry leaders to its esteemed board of directors. Elected by a vote of The One Club membership to two-year terms are Katie Allen, VP, global brand creative, digital, Nike; PJ Pereira, co-founder, creative chairman, Pereira O’Dell, and CCO, Serviceplan Americas; and Jaime Robinson, o-founder, CCO, JOAN Creative.
Board member responsibilities include providing guidance on the club’s many career development, education, and diversity programs, connecting the club with advertising and design schools, and nominating top creatives to serve on juries for The One Show and ADC Annual Awards, both of which are currently open for entries.
”I hold an unwavering conviction that creativity is the driving force behind everything good in this world. The One Club not only embraces this shared belief, but also provides the foundation to confront the significant challenges our community encounters now and in the future,” said Allen. “It is with immense pride and deep honor that I accept the opportunity to contribute as a member of its board of directors, collaborating with some of the most visionary minds in our industry.”
“As a non-profit organization so historically committed to the future of our industry, no one is better equipped than The One Club to help us navigate the social, technological and business changes we have ahead,” added Pereira. “Being part of this board is an honor I promise I won’t take lightly.”
“From the moment I was a wee babe in advertising, I’ve felt the benefits of The One Club shining its light across the industry, working to make it better, more equitable, and of course, always more creative”, said Robinson. “I couldn’t be prouder to join its board of directors, and promise to do my best to continue in this awesome tradition.”
“Creative Integrity is a guiding value at The One Club so I’m thrilled that our membership elected these three stars,” said Glenn Cole, co-founder and chairman of 72andSunny, and board chairman of The One Club for Creativity. “Our board members are some of the top creative leaders in the world who take pride in driving progress and making things happen. Katie, PJ, and Jaime come from different backgrounds but they’re proven innovators and impact junkies. I can’t wait to see what we do together.”
