Stink Films has added director Dan French to its roster for commercial representation in the U.S. and U.K. Stink becomes French’s first career production company home for representation in the advertising arena.
Known for his technique-driven style with high-intensity edits, striking cinematography and mix of in-camera and visual effects, French has independently worked with internationally recognized brands like Meta, Swatch, Durex, KFC, Champion, Pure Gym and EE to name a few, and on-screen talent such as Eric Andre and Katherine Ryan.
His versatility shines through as he experiments across genres, from technical work with sprinkles of comedy, docu-style visuals, storytelling and choreography, while his shorts Living On The Edge and Invisible People were celebrated for being thought provoking. Invisible People explored London’s architectural infrastructure and homelessness with sensitivity, leading to industry accolades such as a Silver 1.4 Award.
Stink’s global reach and dedication to talent will provide an ideal platform for French who said, “Immediately I felt that Stink got me. Not just seeing the technical aspects of my work but also the storytelling. This whole process is kinda like dating… And as first dates go it was pretty damn solid. I’m super excited about what we can achieve together. Focusing on great concept-driven narratives and pushing the envelope with exciting visual ways. I truly believe all the best work can be summed up in one line and Stink totally gets my vision.”
Blake Powell, global head of film at Stink, said, “Dan has all of the ingredients to create the brilliant commercial work that clients are looking for right now. We’re excited by his joining and the opportunity to help take his career to the next level.”
