Director Ato Yankey–aka Mr Yankey, who hails from the U.K.–has signed with MADRE for representation in the U.S. This marks his first signing in the American market. He continues to be repped by production house Armoury in the U.K. ad arena. With a career spanning over a decade, Mr Yankey has turned out work spanning commercial campaigns, music videos and documentaries, along the way garnering British Arrows and an ADCAN Award, among other honors.

He’s also brought his signature style to music videos for House Gospel Choir, Ric Flo, Mikill Pane, His Bitter Truth, and Killowen. His work is marked by a penchant for color and animation, bold use of unique camera angles, and a keen eye for aesthetics and narrative flow.
Mr Yankey said, “I’m super stoked to be venturing into this new chapter of creation with MADRE. The shared wealth of talent within the MADRE family is phenomenal and I’m looking forward to our future collaborations and the growth that comes with it. Let’s tell some beautiful stories together.”
“For someone so talented, he’s incredibly humble,” remarked Ale Saevich, founder and executive producer of MADRE. “He’s contagiously dedicated to his craft and excited about his work. We’ve all been fans of his work for quite a while, and we’re excited to have him on board at MADRE. We look forward to connecting Mr Yankey with more opportunities in the U.S. and continuing to collaborate with him.”
