Director Caroline Koning has signed with Park Pictures for U.S. representation. The self-taught writer and director’s approach to commercial filmmaking is shaped by her experience within fashion and the agency world. Her extensive portfolio of work speaks to Koning’s voracious appetite for creative subjects and genres alike.
Koning’s first collaborative venture under the banner of Park Pictures was with Goodby Silverstein & Partners for the Women’s World Cup. Before signing, she worked with several high-profile brands, including Nike, Loewe, i-D, Wrangler, Etsy, and Roberto Cavalli. Koning’s films are rich with vibrant experimental landscapes and stylized realism. Prior to joining Park Pictures, she had most recently repped by production house Superprime.
Her first film, “Love Stories – Bo,” was featured in Nowness and earned the title of staff pick, setting the stage for a career focused on crafting stylish, visually stunning content. Since then, Koning has won several awards as a filmmaker, including a D&AD Wood Pencil, several ADCN Lamps, a Clio, and a Webby. Koning is dedicated to advocacy and creating a more equitable environment for her colleagues. She has served as a Dutch local ambassador for Free The Work from 2018-2022 and continues to mentor and support up-and-coming creatives.
Koning said, “Park creates incredible work, and I couldn’t be more excited to join their amazing roster. There’s lots of shared values between us, both ethically and artistically, so there was an instant sense of coming home. I’m thrilled that we’ve already hit the ground running, and I look forward to many more collaborations to come.”
“Caroline’s work is as beautiful as it is emotionally captivating,” said Jackie Kelman Bisbee, founding partner of Park Pictures. “We value excellence in craft and professional integrity; Caroline’s got that in spades. We’re elated to have such a renowned global talent on our roster and can’t wait to connect her with more opportunities in the U.S.”
The Many Hires Jeremiah Wassom As Group Creative Director
Independent agency The Many has added Jeremiah Wassom as group creative director.
Wassom most recently worked a decade at Deutsch LA where, as SVP/creative director, he led the Taco Bell account and won new business for the agency. He also served eight years with the United States Marine Corps.
“Throughout his career, Jeremiah has helmed work that has not only made me personally jealous but has consistently pushed brands to show up in memorable and innovative ways,” said Josh Paialii, head of creative at The Many. “One look at his body of work and you will see his passion for storytelling and craft has raised the bar for entire categories, driving participation with many brands’ most loyal fans. Beyond being a world-class creative director and maker, Wassom is a proven team player and strategic thought leader. He’ll be a great addition to the leadership team at The Many working across all accounts. His role will be immediately felt as he guides and supports each of the creative leads in the department.”
A 20-year creative with agency, brand, and freelance experience, Wassom has forged a creative approach which focuses on crafting engaging connections rather than simply make ads. He sees the need for advertising to mean more, not simply do more.
