1) Baltimore City is issuing permits for filming. Call the Baltimore Film Office to discuss your project and find out about the procedures for permits and other requirements.
2) Production companies need to submit a COVID Safety Plan for each project. The Baltimore Film Office will provide links for industry, labor, guild, federal and local guidelines to reference while preparing the plan. The Safety Plan will go in the production companies project file with their permit applications and other required documents, including a COI with the required General Liability and Worker’s Compensation.
3) The Baltimore Film Office and the majority of city agencies are teleworking and things are going smoothly.
4) Since early July, about 12 small commercials, documentaries and other small projects have filmed in Baltimore City with several more prepping for early August.
6) Review the guidelines and suggestions prepared by the Alliance of Motion Picture & Television Producers, the Association of Independent Commercial Producers, The Joint Report of the DGA, SAG-AFTRA, IATSE and Teamsters’ Committee, CDC, WHO and local entities. Prepare a solid safety plan and follow it. Be patient, be kind, be flexible and be safe! We are all in this together.
