As first reported on Deadline, Los Angeles based production agency, Intrinsic, has now added a fourth Partner, Michael Kirschner. The agency was founded by Partners Jonathan Silverman and Dana Salston in 2015, with Partner Danica Pupa joining in 2020.
Kirschner began his career at International Creative Management (now ICM Partners), and later moved on to Paradigm Talent Agency where he was the sole commercial agent for years. He now comes to Intrinsic after an 8+ year stint with the Agency for the Performing Arts (APA), where he ran the commercial department.
Michael is known for his incredible eye for talent, and astute deal making. The new division will represent Directors of Photography, Production Designers and Costume Designers. He brings with him 40+ clients, including DPs Karsten “Crash” Gopinath, Joe Labisi ASC and Glynn Speeckaert ASC amongst others.
“We always knew we wanted a Commercial Department, we were just waiting for the right person. Michael was definitely worth the wait and we are all elated to be in business with him…” said Salston.
“Intrinsic has always been about the right partner/agents with the right clientele, and Michael is a welcome addition. At 37 years old, he may be one of the youngest owners of a BTL agency in the business,” said Silverman.
“Having worked with Michael once before, this is a welcome reunion,” said Pupa.
Kirschner had this to say: “I am truly humbled to have joined such an outstanding group, and have admired the scripted work that Dana, Jonathan and Danica have been doing for years. I hope to bring the same level of excellence to the Intrinsic label.”
Partners Silverman, Salston, Pupa and Kirschner anchor the Los Angeles office.
Intrinsic London is run by partners Rob Little and Jarek Zapora.
Highspot/Intrinsic Warsaw, is managed by partners Donata Rojewska, Hanna Kisielinska and Angieszka Hermanowska.
