On Saturday, July 19, the Television Academy hosted the 66th Emmy Awards Costume Design Nominee Reception honoring this year’s nominees for Outstanding Costume Design at the FIDM Museum & Galleries in Downtown LA. The special reception also launched the FIDM Museum & Galleries Eighth Annual “The Outstanding Art of Television Costume Design” exhibition featuring 100 costumes from over 20 featured shows.
Among those in attendance included nominees Mad Men costume designer Janie Bryant and Once Upon a Time costume designer Eduardo Castro, along with the exhibition’s featured costume designers and stars from the shows. Attendees included: Masters of Sex stars Michael Sheen, Teddy Sears, Artemis Pebdani, and Jocko Sims with costume designer Ane Crabtree; Castle’s Stana Katic and Molly Quinn with costume designer Luke Reichle; Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.’s Ming Na-Wen with costume designer Ann Foley; Orange is the New Black’s Alysia Reiner with costume designer Jenn Rogien; and actor Ian Harding with Pretty Little Liars costume designer Mandi Line. Additional designers at the reception included Christine Bean (The Blacklist), Diane Crooke (Parenthood), Jenny Eagan (True Detective), Joseph Porro (Salem) and Marilyn Vance (Bonnie & Clyde).
FIDM Museum & Galleries Eighth Annual “The Outstanding Art of Television Costume Design” exhibition will be open to the public starting Tuesday, July 22, through Saturday, September 20. Museum hours are 10 a.m.–5 p.m., Tuesday through Saturday.
