Performance Art, Interpublic Group’s (IPG) data-driven creative agency, has appointed Stefanie Kubanka as EVP, managing director for its New York office. Kubanka will oversee the agency’s operations, talent and culture, growth strategy, and its U.S.-based client roster including BMW North America, Lyft, Veterans United, and ScottsMiracle-Gro.
“We are still a start-up in many ways–growing 180% in the past 18 months–and bringing on great leaders is critical to our trajectory,” said Performance Art CEO Andrea Cook. “We’re excited to welcome an experienced leader like Stefanie to our team. The minute we met, she felt like she belonged with us–she’s smart, kind, and full of ideas–all with energy to spare. She’s keen to build the creative data agency of the future and, at the same time, she knows how to apply rigor, scale culture, and imbue operational soundness, which are all essential as we continue to grow.”
Kubanka joins Performance Art from Havas, where she managed the agency’s integrated accounts across creative, paid media, PR, experiential, partnerships, and social content–delivering breakthrough and highly awarded work for brands including 3M, ADP, Beam Suntory, Con Edison, Deutsch Wines & Spirits, Dolce & Gabanna, LVMH, IBM, Michelin, National Association of Realtors, Rite Aid, Swarovski and TD Bank. Earlier in her career, Kubanka led clients including Verizon Wireless, Shell Energy, Exclusive Resorts, and Mastercard. Prior to joining the agency world, she held brand-side and consultancy roles, both of which have shaped her approach to partnership with her clients.
“Performance Art is doing what so many creative agencies just talk about doing–embracing data and innovation to drive truly meaningful, business-driving work,” said Kubanka. “I couldn’t be more excited to join Andrea and the rest of the incredibly talented team at Performance Art to grow the agency’s presence in the U.S. and introduce a new roster of clients to this best-in-class creative organization.”
