Jonathan D. Haskell, VP of publishing at ALIBI Music, and Brooke Primont, SVP of synchronization at Concord Music Publishing, have been appointed to the Los Angeles and New York chapters of the Association of Independent Music Publishers (AIMP) boards of directors, respectively. Haskell will complete the final year of outgoing L.A. board member Cassie Lord’s two-year term, and Primont will do the same for outgoing NY board member Dana Siegel. Both Haskell and Primont will be up for a full term during the next AIMP election, which will take place in November 2022.
As VP of publishing for ALIBI Music, Haskell has expanded the company’s publishing business by over 1,000% in annual revenue since joining in 2016. Previously, Haskell worked under AIMP founder Michael H. Goldsen for eight years as copyright manager at Criterion Music, which was recently acquired by Universal Music Group. He began his career at ASCAP after graduating from the University of Southern California with a Bachelor of Science degree in music industry.
