Women-founded and led production company SLMBR PRTY has added Elizabeth Archer to its roster of directors. This signing has the distinction of being Archer’s first commercial representation.
Based in Los Angeles, Archer tells offbeat, comedic stories rooted in vibrant, stylized worlds. She got her start in the industry working on treatment development with notable directors including The Daniels.
Archer has collaborated with Hello Sunshine, 20th Century Fox, and Netflix. Most recently, she directed the first five episodes of Hulu’s “Dot & Brie: Talk TV.” Within branded content, Archer has helmed spots for brands including Hulu, Copper Cow Coffee, and Visible/Verizon Wireless.
“Elizabeth’s work and wild imagination caught me off guard in the best way possible,” said SLMBR PRTY co-founder and executive producer Sarah Donnenberg. “Her range as a new voice in comedy is evident from quick-witted dialogue, to physical comedy, and surprising visual choices. In both her commercial work and comedy sketches, her stories embody SLMBR PRTY’s dedication to transcending the unexpected.”
Archer said about joining SLMBR PRTY, “I feel so honored that I get to work alongside Sarah and Kirstin [VanSkiver, co-founder]–two visionaries who continue to push the boundaries of what it means to create, invent and inspire in this industry. It’s a testament to who they are not only as creatives, but as leaders and mentors who trust their director’s and bring their vision to life. I feel so grateful to have found my home here at SLMBR PRTY and I can’t wait for what this next chapter brings!”
