The most viewed videos of 2022 posted to the SHOOT Publicity Wire (SPW) include wide ranging fare from tech showcase pieces, tongue-in-cheek comedy with a North Carolina Education Lottery spot, a breaking down of the fourth wall promo for Texas tourism, Super Bowl commercials, a behind-the-scenes look at feature film visual effects, and short film fare.
The most watched SPW video of 2022 was Middle Atlantic’s piece heralding its latest solution for powering and protecting AV systems to be showcased at InfoComm 2022.
The second most viewed entry of 2022 was a lighthearted comedy spot for the North Carolina Education Lottery, directed by Kiran Koshy of Slash Dynamic for agency Cactus.
Taking third place was a Travel Texas “Go Big or Go Home” commercial directed by David Edwards of Native for Proof Advertising, and edited by Einar of bicoastal edit/post house Union.
Fourth place went to a CoverGirl spot chronicling America Ferrera’s path to stardom and becoming a CoverGirl ambassador. Paola Kudacki of Believe Media directed the piece which offers a look at Ferrera embracing her identity as a Latina woman and multi-faceted artist.
Finishing fifth in our SPW rundown was a Super Bowl spot created by FIFA, Telemundo and ad agency Red Bee in which famed announcer Andres Cantor shows America the essence of the perfect soccer “Goooooal” call. Adam Jones directed via Paradiso Pictures.
Sixth place in total clicks for 2022 was earned by a video showcasing what the Boris FX Optics toolbox could do for creatives relative to innovative photo compositing and manipulation as well as graphic design.
Settling into the seventh SPW video views slot was a behind-the-scenes look at VFX Legion as it created the visual effects for director Scott Derrickson’s horror genre film The Black Phone from Blumhouse Productions.
Eighth place in the SPW countdown went to the opening credits of James Gunn’s Peacemaker, starring John Cena and streaming on HBO Max. Design company behind the piece was Sarofsky.
Garnering ninth place was the short film Mariachi Boy, directed by Michael Gabriele and produced by Daily Planet. This heartwarming tale introduces us to a boy who enlists a tube in a quixotic quest to woo the girl of his dreams.
And rounding out the top ten in our SPW video tally was “The Only Way Is Through | Gift of the Game,” a piece for Under Armour directed by Andre Stringer via production company DOMO.
