Area 23 New York–followed closely by Leo Burnett Chicago–leads the way with the most finalists entries in The One Show 2022.
All finalists will win either Gold, Silver or Bronze Pencils or Merits, to be announced on May 19 during Creative Week 2022.
Area 23 New York has 48 finalists entries, including 13 for The Columbia Journalism Review’s “The Inevitable News” and 11 for “Social Bullets” on behalf of Stand For The Silent/Kazoo.
Leo Burnett Chicago scored 44 finalists, including 34 for Change the Ref’s “The Lost Class.” Ogilvy UK London is third with 36 finalists, including 11 for Dove’s “Reverse Selfie”.
Rounding out the top 10 for One Show 2022 finalists is BBDO New York and TBWAParis with 28 each, Rethink Toronto with 25, Dentsu Webchutney Bengaluru with 21, Energy BBDO Chicago with 20, and 19 each for alma DDB Miami, AMV BBDO London, BETC Paris, TBWAMedia Arts Lab Los Angeles, and We Believers New York.
A total of 1,591 entries from 44 counties are finalists this year. The top five countries are the U.S. with 656, Canada with 119, U.K. with 116, France with 106, and Germany with 103.
All of this year’s special awards, including Best of Show, Best of Disciplines, CMO Pencil, Cultural Driver Pencil, Fusion Pencil, Green Pencil, Penta Pencil, Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) Pencil, and top rankings, will be unveiled at The One Show 2022 in-person awards ceremony at the conclusion of Creative Week 2022 on Friday evening, May 20, at Cipriani Wall Street in New York.
This year’s One Show ceremony will be a grand coming together for the creative community, as it represents the first of the large global awards shows to gather in person and celebrate the best work from around the world with industry colleagues.
