Director Carl Sundemo has signed with Epoch Films for commercial representation in the U.S.
Over the course of his career, Sundemo has worked with agencies such as Wieden+Kennedy, CALLEN, CP+B, Virtue, Carmichael Lynch, Social Club Paris, FCB, Saatchi & Saatchi, SMFB and BBDO as well as brands including Liquid Death, Betty Crocker, Bush’s Baked Beans, LG, KIA, Milka and Comedy Central to name a few.
Prior to joining Epoch, Sundemo–known for his comedic touch–was repped in the U.S. by Hobby Films.
As an ad school graduate from Sweden, Sundemo jumped straight into directing commercials and his interest for story development has since placed him on the board of the Screenwriter Program at the Higher Vocational Education in Sweden.
“From the moment I clicked play, it was laugh at first sight,” said Epoch partner and managing EP Melissa Culligan. “It’s Carl’s uncanny mixture of humor and sophistication that I love.”
“Epoch constitutes the perfect platform for making stupid visual humor in a sophisticated way,” joked Sundemo who is currently based in Sweden. “They also have a long tradition of picking up directors from Scandinavia, so I guess the news value of me joining the Epoch family is rather low.”
Epoch is represented in the West by Dexter Randazzo and Jonathan Logan at The Department of Sales; in the East by Tara Averill and John Robertson at RepresentationCo; and in the Midwest by Chris Brown and Nicole Feddock at Baer Brown Reps.
