Bicoastal production company Valiant Pictures has won a whopping grand total of 25 Telly Awards. The company snagged three Gold awards in Non-Broadcast: Directing for “Hello From Taiwan” roster director Tiffany Frances, and in both Online Commercials: Use of Comedy and Online Commercials: Sports/Sporting Goods/Games for the viral CarMax spot “Pinch Me” starring Stephen Curry and Sue Bird, directed by roster director Danny Corey.
Wins for top sports and culture branded content, as well as projects spotlighting social justice issues, cement Valiant Pictures’ ongoing efforts to drive unique perspectives from a diverse roster of award-winning creators. “Hello From Taiwan” is a recipient of The Future of Film is Female fund in partnership with MoMA, premiered at Los Angeles Asian Pacific Film Festival, and won Grand Jury Prize at the Taiwanese American Film Festival as well as Best Emerging Director at the Imagine This Women’s International Film Festival. Tiffany is currently a Blackmagic Collective Future Directors of Studio Features 2021 fellow.
Silver and Bronze Telly Award-winning short film “In France Michelle is a Man’s Name”, directed by Em Weinstein, earned the Grand Jury Prize for Best Narrative Short at the 2021 Slamdance film festival, as well as the same award at Outfest 2020, Best US Short at the San Diego International Shortsfest 2021, and Best Writing at the Kinsale Shark Awards, 2021.
Valiant also recently announced the signing of CarMax “Call Your Shot” 2021 campaign director Danny Corey formally to their roster.

Asian World Film Festival (AWFF) Announces 2024 Film Line-Ups
The Asian World Film Festival (AWFF) announced the festival’s Main Competition and Short Film lineups; select, noteworthy screenings; special program highlights; and centerpiece film. Celebrating its 10th anniversary of showcasing Asian film from around the world, AWFF will take place November 13-21, 2024, at The Culver Theater in Culver City, CA. The nine-day festival will present narrative and documentary motion pictures and short films from 27 countries, including four that premiered at the 2024 Cannes Film Festival. More than 30 of the screenings will feature live Q&As with the filmmakers, talent, and crew. Georges N.
