ODDKO‘s latest music video, a Mad Max-themed visual thrill ride for the track “D4TM,” has been released by avant-garde boutique video production company Void N’ Disorder.
In the dazzling and hyper-dynamic “D4TM” music video, ODDKO underlines that with every passing day we take another step further into what eerily resembles the apocalyptic dystopian sci-fi world we see in movies. On the positive side, much of the world is now waking up and we have the opportunity to make decisions that are better for our own and our planet’s future.
ODDKO is the brainchild of the multi-talented Giovanni Bucci, who both composed the music and directed the video for “D4TM,” a track off the band’s 5-song EP Digital Gods, which also dropped on June 15th.
Giovanni equally helms the award-winning studio Void N’ Disorder as creative director alongside art director Paola Rocchetti. With a focus on highly stylized VFX-driven work, they are known for crafting high-end visuals that possess a distinct edge. In “D4TM” the creative studio makes use of cinematic live action footage and VFX, as well as highly detailed custom-made RC models and outfits. The resulting film is a cohesive eye-popping visual feast.
“D4TM was shot in September 2019, and ironically it seems to have become more relevant in our “post-COVID” world,” Giovanni says. “D4TM’ highlights the notion that many are dependent on pharmaceuticals to function, often over-medicated and just left to their own devices. In the wake of the COVID-19 crisis we are bombarded with fear, putting many at risk to fall deeper into despair and turn to mind/mood-altering drugs. Perhaps, like in the video, the next step will be for us all to be microchipped and controlled?”
Giovanni has also made videos for Korn, Jane’s Addiction, and Fleshgod Apocalypse, impressing audiences and critics around the world. His music videos have won many awards, including ODDKO’s debut single “Disobey,” which won Best Metal and Horror Video at the LA Music Video Awards, as well as both Silver and Bronze Telly awards.
Here’s what people have been saying about ODDKO:
“Outrageous maelstrom of sights and sounds, paced and cut so expertly, ‘Disobey’ is both intoxicating and satisfying at the same time. The energy of the integrated components is fantastic. And the music itself, while not for everyone, is much to my liking.” – Dan Sarto/AWN (Animation World Network)
“Amazing!! That shit is dark ‘n’ scary, I love it! – James 'Munky' Shaffer/Korn
“In command of both sound and vision, Bucci has seamlessly integrated them both…” – David Knight/Promonews
