New categories in Social Media, Affirmation Messages
Mobius Awards, a 50-year-old international advertising competition, opened May 28, introducing some new categories and an extended entry period. The competition final deadline is October 1. Eligible entries will have been created or re-released between October 1, 2019, and October 1, 2020.
The competition has four divisions: Advertising, Packaging, Cannabis and Student. In opening, Chairman Lee Gluckman acknowledged the stress advertising and marketing companies are facing. He noted Mobius Awards was fortunate it already had an online entry and judging system in place. “We were also committed to keeping pricing at 2019 levels,” Gluckman said. As in the past, student fees are only $75 per entry. Also, special entry prices are in effect through June 24.
Efforts have been made to expand categories to recognize some of the recent changes in the market. New categories include Affirmation Messages, Children’s Products & Services, Environmental Issues, Social Issues, Food Service Packaging, Student Package Design and Student Craft/Production Techniques. All social networking formats have been added to Social Media Marketing and Promotion Entry Types.
Entries are invited in all advertising mediums and formats. These include Brochure/Book, Direct, Digital, Immersive Marketing, Lifestyle Content Marketing, Mixed Media Campaign, New Media, Online, Outdoor, Package Design and Redesign, Point-of-Purchase, Print, Radio, Television, Cinema, and Student.
Competition questions should be directed to Kristen Szabo, Manager, Entrant Relations & Operations, via email here. Winners are announced in January 2021. Visit www.mobiusawards.com for more information.
