CRASH+SUES was thrilled to recently partner with Chainbreaker, in their inaugural year, to concept and produce a video to kick-off a three-day celebration of cycling entertainment and volunteerism. Chainbreaker directs 100% of all rider-raised donations to cancer research at the Masonic Cancer Center, University of Minnesota. It’s modeled after a hugely successful event at Ohio State called Pelotonia, which has raised $130M for cancer research in the last 8 years. This year, over 1000 riders participated in Minnesota’s ride August 11-13, raising over $1 million dollars. Wanna get involved next year? Check out their site.
McCullough says “Working with my friends at CRASH+SUES brought back the days of working on countless Prince videos. The Chainbreaker project is a great cause and I was honored to be a part of it. The team worked on a challenging budget – in a small window of time. I think from concept to delivery it was 4 weeks, which included CG work, music and more.”
McCullough believes that giving back is crucial. “Everyone was so eager to help from crew to vendors. We are all keen on budget challenges these days, but delivering something compelling for even less is a great reward in and among itself. CRASH+SUES was nothing short of brilliant and focused on this” McCullough adds.
