Washington DC-based boutique post house, K Street Post, has purchased a Quantel Pablo Rio 2KO color and finishing system, replacing its long serving eQ finishing system. Pablo Rio will sit at the heart of K Street Post's end-to-end post production workflow, working on local and regional commercials for clients including the Washington Times and public service announcements for the USO (United States Service Organization).
Pablo Rio is Quantel's high quality color and finishing system that provides the ultimate productive post workflow. Pablo Rio runs on high performance PC hardware and exploits NVIDIA Maximus multi-GPU technology to deliver true interactivity and maximum productivity, with realtime performance at 4K 60p and beyond. Pablo Rio is available as software only and as a range of Quantel-backed turnkey systems.
Owner and artist at K Street Post, Paul London, said, "My success with Quantel's eQ system really was the main factor to continue with Quantel and the new Pablo Rio. Quantel is constantly bringing out improvements to its systems. They are always staying on top of the latest formats and trends and by having a Pablo Rio, so am I. My Pablo Rio is beautifully engineered. There is a precision to Quantel systems. The Pablo Rio has a very uncluttered, elegant layout to the various menus and the picture quality is the best in the world – why would I not want that for my clients!"
Quantel sales director, Martin Mulligan, said, "K Street Post has been a loyal Quantel customer for over a decade now, so we are delighted that it has once again selected Quantel post systems as the center of its postproduction workflow."
