THE SPOT
"Drawbridge" shows a Chevy Malibu Maxx being chased through a shipyard, in the style of a Hollywood action feature film. The Maxx is confronted with a drawbridge, which the vehicle attempts to jump. The automobile lands on the edge of the other side of the bridge, hanging perilously halfway off. The two passengers adjust the sliding rear seats and successfully get the Maxx over the rest of the drawbridge. The commercial then cuts to the inside of another Malibu Maxx, where it is revealed that the action was really a film being watched by the passengers of the other Maxx. Realizing that they too are approaching a drawbridge, the car’s passengers adjust their rear seats. The :60 (with a :30 lift) ends with the tag line, "An American revolution."
Spot broke April 3.
