THE SPOT
"Chicken" opens on what appears to be a commercial for Sky High Airlines. As the spokesman walks through the company’s technology center, he emphasizes that Sky High’s fares are calculated by a supercomputer, as a chicken in a plexiglass box is shown. The man tosses some feed onto the keyboard in the box and the bird pecks out a fare, which is displayed on the front of the box. The spokesman says, "Ah, technology," as the :30 ends with a graphic: "Introducing common sense fares. Cheaper. Less restrictive. Better value," and finally the Alaska Airlines logo.
Spot broke April 5.
