Usually bobble-head dolls are in the concession stands of Major League ballparks. But in this spot for the Los Angeles Dodgers, a family of bobble heads is in the stands, counting themselves among the ball club’s many fans.
A packed Dodger Stadium has the fans standing up for the seventh inning stretch. And standing up on one seat are five bobble heads—a dad, mom, son, daughter and grandpa. The bobble-head family joins their human counterparts in singing "Take Me Out to the Ballgame."
The young daughter holds a high note well after everyone else has gone silent. Unfortunately, she hits a decibel level that is so high, it causes grandpa’s head to bobble right off of his body.
We cut away to a super with the Dodgers’ Web site address and a phone number for season tickets. Thankfully, an end tag returns us the bobble-head family, showing us that grandfather is alive, well and back intact. The family holds up signs that come together to read, "Go Blue," a reference to Dodger Blue.
The bobble heads are part of a multi-spot campaign for the Dodgers directed by the mono-monikered Pez of Czar.US, New York, for agency WongDoody, Los Angeles. The other commercials are titled "Anthem," "Autograph" and "Dodger Dog."
