THE SPOT
"Gum"—which promotes the second season DVD and VHS releases of the cable series Oz—continues the theme of people who think twice about breaking the law in order to avoid a life behind bars, as depicted in the program. In the :30, a gum-chewing man walks down a grungy city street. He absentmindedly tosses out his gum, narrowly missing a trashcan clearly marked "Keep our city clean." As he continues on his way, a quick montage of violent scenes from Oz flashes through his mind. This results in him turning around and retrieving the discarded piece of gum from the ground to place in the garbage bin. The spot ends with the tagline, "Eight more hours of Oz. It will make you think twice."
Spot broke Jan. 5.
