The AME Awards® for Advertising & Marketing Effectiveness will unveil the first-ever AME Report, a new yearly ranking of the world’s most successful networks, agencies, and advertisers according to their achievements in the AME Awards.
“AME’s goal has always been to honor creative campaigns that not only entertain but inspire action,” said Michael O’Rourke, President, New York Festivals. “The AME Report will pay tribute to those global agencies and brands whose innovative campaigns accomplish strategic goals through creative execution and critical planning”
Since 1994, the AME Awards has honored campaigns world-wide that successfully demonstrate groundbreaking solutions to challenging marketing problems, now AME continues its tradition with the launch of the AME Report. This new three-tiered report will honor and provide rankings within three separate categories: networks, agencies, and brands. Earning a spot on the prestigious AME Report solidifies an agency’s standing as the foremost leader within the industry while securing their global reputation for delivering the most creative and measurably effective caliber of work. Within the AME Report, the AME Brand Report will recognize innovative brands for their game-changing effective campaigns and the forward-thinking advertisers who approved these compelling campaigns.
The results of the AME Report will be announced in late February following the announcement of the 2017 AME award-winners by the AME Grand Jury. The report will utilize a creative ranking system based on overall points earned for winning entries and provides a historical account of the highest ranking networks, agencies and brands within this year’s competition. AME Report points for agency, brand, and network rankings are calculated as follows: AME Grand Award, 21 points; AME Platinum Award, 13 points; AME Green Award, 13 points; AME Gold Award, 8 points; AME Silver Award, 5 points; AME Bronze Award, 3 points and AME Finalist Certificate, 1 point.
The 2017 international AME Grand Jury of interactive and multidisciplinary marketers, media planners, strategy directors, social media experts, and creative directors will evaluate the 2017 AME entries based on four specific criteria, each weighted by importance: Challenge/Strategy/Objectives – 20%; Creativity – 25%; Execution – 25%; and Results/Effectiveness – 30%.
The AME® Grand Jury panel awards Gold, Silver, and Bronze to the highest scoring entries through two rounds of regional judging, allowing for cultural and economic relevance. This round also selects the AME Green Award winner—the highest scoring, Gold-winning entry for a company whose emphasis is on resource conservation and negative environmental impact. Gold-winning work from all regions is judged by the full international Grand Jury to determine a Platinum Award for each of the five regions (North America, Latin America, Europe, Middle East & Africa and Asia Pacific) and the International Grand AME Award.

Boris FX Brings Greater ML Power To Continuum’s Video Editing and Visual Effects Toolkit
Boris FX announces the release of Continuum 2025, which strengthens its machine-learning capabilities with a growing list of creative effects and innovative tools. The award-winning plugin collection now includes six internally developed, ethically trained ML-driven effects that streamline workflows and save artists valuable time. Continuum 2025 is available with subscription pricing starting at $195/year. “Continuum’s two new ML effects take tasks that are traditionally tricky, applying dynamic motion blur to live action shots and concealing license plate identifiers, and provides users with speedy and accurate one-click solutions,” says Boris Yamnitsky, President and Founder of Boris FX. “The addition of Motion Blur ML and License Plate ML highlights Continuum’s continuing push towards developing ML-driven post-production tools that take the guesswork out of laborious tasks while ensuring artists maintain their creative freedom.” “Continuum 2025’s standout effect is Motion Blur ML. Its machine-learning optical flow only blurs the moving section of a shot, isolating and leaving untouched sections with none or less motion,” states Ra-ey Saleh, offline & online editor (Discovery, TLC, HGTV). “It's perfect for any type of production, making it easy to add an extra layer of realism or more in-your-face stylization to video and text.” ML Technology BCC+ Motion Blur ML uses a sophisticated ML algorithm to instantly detect pixel movement and apply realistic motion blur to video and motion graphics. Users can adjust blur intensity and direction (forward, backward, or a combination) or... Read More
