THE SPOT
In "Hackey Sack" (:30/:15), a beagle drags a bag of Purina Puppy Chow across the kitchen floor, hinting to his owner that he’s over the generic food he’s been fed. Getting the hint, the man pours a bowl of the Puppy Chow and the dog ravishes the food. Energized by his meal, the puppy kicks the bag of Puppy Chow back into the cabinet, hackey sack style. His bewildered master rationalizes, "It’s gotta be the puppy chow." The ad ends with the tagline, "Incredible puppy food. Incredible puppies."
