Enterprise takes on the “Star Trek” galaxy in a new co-branded content piece led by Twist Director Matt Pittroff and the ad agency creatives from Cannonball. Just in time for the summer release of the new movie “Star Trek Beyond,” now in theaters from Paramount Pictures, Skydance and Bad Robot, the piece blends the world of “Star Trek” with that of Enterprise Rent-A-Car employees.
Director Matt Pittroff and his casted team of improv actors met the challenges of finding humor within the Star Trek culture. Meticulous preparation (even learning Klingon) allowed Matt and the actors to deliver a perfect take on the encounters of spaceship rental on a Star Trek Earth.

“Enterprise has been doing some really strong digital work as of late,” explains Twist Director Matt Pittroff. “When this project came to Twist, I knew that the bar was already set very high.”
“Not unlike many jobs in the past, I had to become a quick study and an instant expert” continues the Director. “With all of the nuances, characters, iterations, and reiterations of the classics and current film franchise safely nestled in my brain, I took a deep breath and reminded myself that our piece was simply about people being overwhelmingly excited about the completely fictitious prospect of renting spaceships to non-humans. Our cast of improvisational actors out of Chicago really helped to deliver a perfect balance of professionalism and unbridled fan-dom. I love working with improvisational actors — feeding them little nuggets and giving them plenty of room to explore. I’m grateful to Enterprise, Cannonball, The Big Tree, 90 Degrees West, and Twist. It’s easy to do great work with this creative consortium.”

Simian Gets An Evolutionary Boost For Collaboration, Reveals “Teams”
Simian, the showreel-building, review & approval, and production asset management platform used globally by creative leaders, is kicking off this fall season with a substantial leap forward for collaboration and project management – with more updates on the way during the holidays!
The new feature, aptly dubbed “Teams”, makes it easier than ever for users to give project responsibilities to team members and clients alike. “You can never have too many options when it comes to permission levels,” says Jay Brooks, Simian’s Chief Technology Officer. “Teams provides a streamlined way to assign multiple users to a project at once.”
“Teams are very powerful, but creating one is effortless,” Brian Atton, Simian’s Chief Operating Officer explains. “Simply enter a Team name, add members, and then apply the newly made Team to any desired project. You can even invite temporary guests without changing settings for other projects or needing to create a new Team.”
“We love helping our clients by providing efficient tools to improve their workflow, and this has been a frequently requested feature as of late,” shares Kellie Atton, Head of Sales at Simian. “It feels great to get Teams out into the wild because I know it’s going to be tremendously helpful to everyone who uses it”.
Teams is now available exclusively to Simian’s enterprise clients. Simian plans to release more product upgrades and enhancements during Q4 2024 and 2025 for enterprise and non-enterprise users, continuing its ongoing evolution as the industry’s leading production asset management solution.
