THE SPOT
"George and Derek" plays off the highly-publicized "feud" between the New York Yankees shortstop/captain and the team’s owner, and continues the long-running "It’s everywhere you want to be" campaign. The :30 opens with Steinbrenner demanding to know how Jeter could possibly afford to keep up with his baseball schedule and dine, dance and party seven nights a week. To answer, Jeter shows the Boss his Visa card. What follows is a rapid-fire tour through some of New York’s hotspots, ending with the duo apparently putting their differences aside while dancing on a conga line at a nightclub.
