All proceeds from shoots at Squash Blossom Studios in Dallas go to help homeless animals.
Karen Fling, DVM and owner of East Lake Veterinary Hospital in Dallas announced Squash Blossom Studios provided supplies for the wardrobe crew of the new Hulu mini-series based on Stephen King’s novel 11/22/63, which follows a high school teacher who travels back in time to prevent the assassination of President John F. Kennedy. The series was shot in Dallas in October and stars James Franco. All proceeds from Squash Blossom Studios projects go to benefit the orphans of East Lake Pet Orphanage (ELPO).
Squash Blossom Studios is also currently extensively involved in providing props for a new feature film shot in Dallas. This film will showcase over 118 different sets spanning time periods from the 1800s to present day. “We’ve had so much fun working with this crew, they are amazing. They’ve created the Oval Office, Air Force One, and the Senate Floor utilizing our props.” Dr. Fling said. “We are thrilled to be working with these major motion picture film crews and excited to be generating funds through work with Squash Blossom Studios to help the orphan pets of East Lake Pet Orphanage, and we’re having fun doing it.” says Fling.
