Effective immediately, Resource LA is representing the award-winning integrated creative + production company The Uprising Creative. Broadcast and branded content sales are being handled by Resource founder Dana Balkin as well as Frank Antonoff and Allie O'Brien, while experiential and digital assignments are being managed by Judd Katz, Resource's director of experience.
At present, the directorial roster for Uprising – which has offices in Los Angeles, Chicago, Nashville and London – consists of Darren Craig, Jonathan Craven, Justin Hantz, Dan Huiting, Jeff Nicholas, and Alex Thompson. Through Resource, Uprising has just wrapped its first multifaceted job with BBDO New York, involving an experiential installation, print, broadcast, and digital content.
"To us, Uprising's greatest strength is their generalist approach to marketing and advertising," Balkin began. "They work across multiple media channels from film to experiential to digital, which allows us to bring them into a variety of the conversations we are having with brands and agencies. More and more, we are finding that when we expand our views on any given project, we're able to create partnerships that are even more innovative and impactful for brands."
"Dana has built one of the most respected representation firms in the business, and the fact that they represent companies that span virtually all production skillsets is a huge reason we signed with them," said Nicholas, Uprising's co-founder and president. "When it comes to integrated campaigns, not only can they help us sell those services through, they'll also ensure we all fit together well, and that our clients understand how multiple avenues can take campaigns to new heights."

Another interesting aspect of this development is based on Uprising's recent launch of its new virtual reality content studio, VEHICLEvr (http://vehicle-vr.com). This new venture focuses on the creation, development, production and direction of original and branded VR content, as well as providing high-end VR production services to its partner companies. In partnership with Resource, VEHICLEvr will facilitate original and branded VR content development and production for a select portion of Resource's roster of directors and production companies.
"At Resource, we believe it's important to respond to changes in the market for both the clients we represent and the agencies and brands we serve," Balkin added. "We pride ourselves on cultivating and maintaining strong relationships in the industry. Partnering with VEHICLEvr gives us a new avenue to use those relationships and to become a bigger part of the content creation story."
Uprising and VEHICLEvr will continue to be represented for original content through UTA, and for music videos through Tommy LaBuda Representation.
