THE SPOT
"Big on Style" (:30) shows a handsome couple cruising through Midtown Manhattan in their Suzuki Verona automobile. Set to the ballad "The Way You Look Tonight," sung by Rod Stewart, the electronic billboards showcase the features of the sedan as the car drives by. The spot ends with the couple stepping out of the vehicle in front of a nightclub. As they walk past the velvet ropes and onto the red carpet, they pass under a large sign with an electronic crawl that repeats the tagline: "Congratulations—you made the smart move." In "Family Adventure" (:30), a family tours the famous highways in their Suzuki XL-7 to a rendition of the song, "Route 66." As they journey past various landmarks, the road signs and billboards spell out the SUV’s attributes. As the family continues down the highway, they travel past a sign displaying the tag, "Congratulations—you made the smart move."
"Big on Style" began airing Sept. 1, and "Family Adventure" broke Oct. 1.
