THE SPOT
The CG "Shadow Flex" (:30/:10)—which spotlights the new driving shoe called The Vantage—opens on a quiet nighttime cityscape, complete with a full moon. A wind picks up and the viewer sees a massive shadow of a man growing upwards against a brick wall. The owner of that shadow is a 50-foot version of hip-hop artist Funkmaster Flex, who is standing in a parking lot that holds a group of 1970s vehicles. Flex lifts the automobiles off the ground and up to where they surround him. He begins to scratch and mix, using the cars as though they were turntables. The spot ends with the Lugz logo and a shot of the new shoe.
Spot broke in November.
