SIM Digital, Canada’s leading rental house for cameras and other equipment for motion picture and television production, has relocated its office in Halifax. The new location, on Thornhill Drive in Dartmouth, is in the same facility that houses its affiliate, PS Production Services, a supplier of lighting and grip equipment. The new SIM Digital Halifax features expanded client preparation and warehouse space. Clients will also enjoy the convenience of taking care of their camera, lighting and post production needs from one site.
With film and television production growing rapidly in Canada’s Maritime Provinces, SIM Digital had outgrown its original location. “Demand has risen significantly,” said General Manager Jeff Wheaton, noting that SIM Digital is the only company in the region that offers professional grade camera rentals, camera repairs and DMT services. “We’re now able to better serve our clients.”
SIM Digital supplies motion picture, television, documentary and commercial productions operating in Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, Prince Edward’s Island and Newfoundland. In addition to HD and SD cameras, it rents lenses, camera accessories, post production equipment and in-house edit suites. PS Production services offers a wide range of professional lighting and grip equipment, as well as generators, dollies, cranes and camera heads. Additional post production services are available through another SIM Group company, Bling Digital.
SIM Digital Halifax is located at 139 Thornhill Drive, Dartmouth, Nova Scotia; (902) 422-6090; atlantic@simdigital.com.
