KCAU-TV Takes Top Prize After Thousands of Votes
Stephen Arnold Music, the Leaders in sonic branding, have announced a winner for their new online awards event, “What’s the Sound of Your Story?” After tallying thousands of votes, the champion is KCAU-TV, the ABC affiliate in Sioux City, IA, for “Sioux City Musketeers Intro Video 2014.”
“What’s the Sound of Your Story” was introduced last month to recognize local stations’ most notable promos, branding, image campaigns, PSA’s, specials, and graphic opens. Launched by Stephen Arnold Music, “What’s the Sound of Your Story?” allowed industry pros to submit elite content created by local stations, and then vote online for their favorite video once every 24 hours during the voting period.
After two weeks, the results were tabulated and the most popular video, KCAU’s “Sioux City Musketeers” was named the winner. A cinematic convergence of hard rock and hockey, the spot can be viewed here.
KCAU received a very special guitar from Stephen Arnold’s personal collection for their win: an authenticated 1980 Gibson Les Paul signed by Les Paul himself. In addition, the winning video has been promoted via the Stephen Arnold Music social media channels, and posted on a special “What’s the Sound of Your Story?” website where it can be seen alongside the dozens of noteworthy spots that were entered.
