THE SPOT
"Summer Jobs" (:30) features teenagers responding to the question, "What was your worst summer job?" As they respond, supers appear to show their hourly wages for an array of less-than-glamorous occupations. Among them—"Busboy: $5.40 an hour," "Retail: $5.15 an hour" (actually a "T-shirt folder") and "Factory Worker: $5.25" ("can counter"). Some of the youths are shown in action, with the final teen, who sold doors, door-to-door, saying, "It beats pumping my parents for cash"—which leads into the MasterCard logo and the last super, "Financial independence: priceless."
Spot broke in September.
