L-R: Sid Lee New York Co-Executive Creative Directors Dan Brooks and Daniel Chandler with Head of Digital Kwame Taylor-Hayford.
NEW YORK -- (SPW) --
The New York office of global creative agency Sid Lee has promoted its rising creative talents Dan Brooks and Daniel Chandler to Co-Executive Creative Directors. Both promotions are effective immediately and were announced by Lukas Derksen, Sid Lee NYC's Managing Partner.
Over the past five years, Brooks and Chandler have proven to be one of Sid Lee's most prominent creative teams. At present they are leading creative work for Sid Lee New York's founding clients Absolut, Facebook, Intel and others, drawing upon past experiences serving adidas (where their "Take the Stage" London Olympics campaign helped the brand earn widespread acclaim), Sony Playstation, Rolex, Vodafone and Volkswagen.
"The Dans have been on the forefront of Sid Lee's rise to the global stage, and both are among our organization's most talented and multi-dimensional creatives," said Derksen. "It's young creative leadership like theirs that's driving the future of our industry. With them, we are uniquely positioned as one of the most transformative forces in the U.S. agency landscape."
"We are working on a varied stream of projects and campaigns, ranging from traditional global campaigns, retail experiences, social campaigns, product launches and events… each with our unique spin," Brooks explained. "As a young, fearless group of multi-disciplinarians, we are united in creating work that seems almost impossible at times."
"Over the short period of time since Sid Lee opened in New York, we've managed to build an amazing client roster," added Chandler. "As we move into the next phase, we're really excited to let our work do the talking for us. Our objective is to be known for creating the most transformative work in the market alongside the world's brightest brands."
Another key creative and management talent for Sid Lee NYC earning credit for this growing success is Kwame Taylor-Hayford, the agency's Head of Digital. Described by Derksen as a new breed of industry professional who breaks down traditional agency barriers and drives innovation across all disciplines, the impact of Taylor-Hayford's progressive thinking is omnipresent in the agency's work.
"In aiming to consistently deliver work reflecting Sid Lee's renowned craftsmanship and emotional resonance, having Kwame onboard is huge," confirmed Chandler. "He's been a really fantastic addition to the team and a real task master; his commitment to leading the way in digital innovation and thought leadership is an inspiration for us all."
"I'm very inspired by the diverse nature of the projects that we're currently working on," Taylor-Hayford said. "We've created an environment that allows art directors, writers, architects and designers of everything from typefaces to mobile apps to collaborate with technologists, data artists and producers. As we take on more projects and grow the team across strategy, creative and account, we are eager to hire talented people with appetites for this approach that allows us to dramatically transform consumer experiences for our clients."

Simian, the showreel-building, review & approval, and production asset management platform used globally by creative leaders, is kicking off this fall season with a substantial leap forward for collaboration and project management โ with more updates on the way during the holidays!
The new feature, aptly dubbed โTeamsโ, makes it easier than ever for users to give project responsibilities to team members and clients alike. โYou can never have too many options when it comes to permission levels,โ says Jay Brooks, Simianโs Chief Technology Officer. โTeams provides a streamlined way to assign multiple users to a project at once.โ
โTeams are very powerful, but creating one is effortless,โ Brian Atton, Simianโs Chief Operating Officer explains. โSimply enter a Team name, add members, and then apply the newly made Team to any desired project.
