Award-winning motion graphics, design and animation studio BLIND has retained KK & Joanna for representation in the Midwest. Principals Kristina “KK” Kovacevic and Joanna Miller will pursue advertising assignments for BLIND in Chicago, Detroit, Minneapolis and other markets in the region. The relationship has already born fruit in the form of a project for Sears and Chicago agency mcgarrybowen. Other projects are in bidding and planning stages.
BLIND Executive Producer Tobin Kirk says that his team is excited about the quality of the creative coming out of Chicago and other cities in the area. “We’re big fans of Midwestern agencies,” he says. “We’re also excited about the energy and enthusiasm that KK and Joanna have added to the mix. The relationship is already yielding great results.”
The enthusiasm is mutual, notes Kovacevic, who described reaction to BLIND’s latest work, which includes campaigns for such brands as Crate & Barrel, Ancestry.com and Flintstones, as well as for the Broadway show The Last Ship, as “phenomenal.” “The production value they deliver is exceptional and the creative is fresh; it speaks to so many Midwest-based accounts,” Kobacevic says. “Plus, the team at BLIND will bend over backwards to make budgets work. They’re wonderful collaborators.”
The expansion of BLIND’s sales strategy comes as it is also growing and diversifying its service offering. The studio recently launched BLIND Labs, a new creative unit focused on innovative technology platforms for brands, entertainment companies and startups.
