Optimus today announced that Editor Mike Hackett has signed on for exclusive nationwide representation. With almost 20 years of editorial experience, Hackett brings extensive visual effects expertise and a unique storytelling style to the leading production and post house.

Hackett founded Lucid Editorial in 2009 after working at a number of Los Angeles’ top post shops, including Brass Knuckles, Avenue Edit, Crush Editorial, Filmcore LA, and Chrome. He began his editorial career in Los Angeles at T-minus 30. Hackett has collaborated with many of the powerhouses of the commercial and feature world, including Olivier Gondry, Janusz Kaminski, Joe Pytka, Jessie Dylan, Pam Thomas, Ray Dillman and Nick Piper, to name a few. Hackett has worked with a multitude of top ad agencies on assignments for clients such as Ford, Honda, Toyota, Chevy and HP. Along with a strong background in photography, Hackett is an avid bonsai technician with more than 1,000 exotic bonsai plants. It is his passion for these two seemingly unrelated art forms that brings a more traditional, holistic philosophy to his editorial work.
