Cosmo Street is excited to welcome editor Stéphane Dumonceau to their bicoastal roster. Stéphane has been an award-winning commercial, music video, and film editor for the past 19 years. He began his career at FCB/SF, cutting spots in-house for clients such as Levi’s, MTV and Fox Sports. He then spent the next 6 years at Mad River Post/NY, and Final Cut/NY and LA for the past 5.
He has collaborated with some of the most visionary directors in the business, such as Mark Romanek, Errol Morris, Michael Haussman, Stacy Wall, Christopher Guest, Wes Anderson, Spike Lee, Michel Gondry, David Gordon Green, Derek Cianfrance, Henry Alex Rubin, Peter Thwaites, Pat Sherman, Traktor, Gerard de Thames, Jack Cole, etc. He has consistently worked with top agency talents at Wieden + Kennedy, Crispin Porter Bogusky, Deutsch, Mother, Droga5, 72andSunny, JWT, Saatchi & Saatchi, Gyro/NY, BBH, BBDO, Taxi, The Martin Agency, MMB, etc.
Stéphane has also been praised for his sound design, for projects such as ESPN “Coach,” BCBS “Marathon,” the Errol Morris-directed Sharp campaign, and all of the PBR Versus campaign.
Stéphane originally studied directing and cinematography at San Francisco State University and NYU’s School of Continuing Education, acting at the American Conservatory Theater in San Francisco and the Atlantic Theater Company in NY, and improv at BATS in San Francisco. He was mentored in screenwriting by Frank Daniel (founder of the Sundance writing program, co-founder and first dean of AFI, former dean of Columbia and then USC), and in cinematography by Ricardo Aronovich, AFC.
