Kajama Group today announced the first two films on it’s slate of pictures for 2014.
The first project on schedule is NIGHTCRAWLERS written by John E. Deaver & William S. Walker. When a student is found mutilated behind his alma mater, an undercover cop is inserted into the high school to investigate, only to discover that his prime suspects – the most popular clique in school – may not even be human. “It’s a story of a cross between 21 JUMP STREET meets ALIEN,” states Producer Chris May. Fellow Producer, Katrina Nahikian shutters her words, “It’s a chills and thrills story with twists and turns”.
Second on the slate is DARK FABLES: KISS OF THE KILL written by Jack Sojka and Nicholas Siapkaris. DARK FABLES: KISS OF THE KILL weaves supernatural episodic tales set against the backdrop of an enchanted circus, a refuge for lost souls to avenge their untimely deaths. “We wrote non-stop for six weeks and what seemed like twenty-four hours a day”, states writer Jack Sojka.. “Even in my sleep stages I was writing”, notes writer Nicholas Siapkaris.
Kajama Films, through Kajama Group will provide production services and financing.
Kajama Group, LLC was recently founded by entertainment industry veterans Christopher May, Katrina Nahikian, and Jack Sojka after a decade of collaborating as executive producers and financiers on various projects. Chris has been at the forefront of new media, producing content for broadband and mobile in association with Procter & Gamble brands. Katrina was VP of Development under a deal at Fox Television Studios. Her entertainment career began at Bette Midler’s All-Girl Productions and segued to Lionsgate Television and Oxygen Media. Jack is a Three time Emmy® nominee, and a veteran producer and writer who has worked on several projects for The History Channel, Lionsgate Entertainment, The Harbinger Group, Taurus Entertainment and Lions Share Entertainment. Additionally Jack worked on the producing team for the David Lynch and Academy Award® nominated Werner Herzog film “My Son My Son What Have Ye Done.”
