THE SPOT
In the :60 Ad Council PSA "Neighborhood Watch," television icon Ed McMahon travels door-to-door to pass out fliers for a neighborhood watch meeting, only to have the residents humorously confuse his being there with his past jobs, such as host of Star Search and spokesman for Publishers Clearing House. For example, a child begins tap dancing and a woman becomes hysterical when she thinks she won big money.
