THE ARSENIO HALL SHOW has built a senior production team that includes producers from a wide range of entertainment news, daytime and late-night talk shows, it was announced today by executive producers Arsenio Hall, John Ferriter and Neal Kendall.
Claudia Cagan has been named Senior Talent Producer and Makiko Ushiyama has been named Producer. They re-team with Hall, where Cagan served as a Talent Executive and Ushiyama was a Senior Talent Coordinator on the original THE ARSENIO HALL SHOW.
Cagan is joined by Talent Producers Renee Henson and Luke Sader, as well as Music Producer Christopher McDonald to form the talent team. In addition, Holly Crosby and Stephanie Storey have been hired as Coordinating Producers. Sader, McDonald, Crosby and Storey all have extensive backgrounds working in the talk show genre and worked with Kendall on Tavis Smiley.
“The advantage of launching a new show with a production team that we have history with can’t be underestimated,” said Host and Executive Producer Arsenio Hall. “We can begin with the shorthand that it typically takes one or two seasons to find, giving us a real edge as we move forward.”
THE ARSENIO HALL SHOW, a daily one-hour, nationally syndicated late-night talk show, debuts on September 9, 2013.
Cagan most recently served as Senior Segment Producer at E! News, a position she held since 2005. She has worked on numerous entertainment shows including Entertainment Tonight and Extra and was a Talent Executive for the original The Arsenio Hall Show.
Since 2005, Ushiyama served as a Segment Producer for Access Hollywood and Access Hollywood LIVE. Prior to that, she served as a Talent Executive for networks and shows including E! Entertainment and KCET as well as Donny & Marie and the original The Arsenio Hall Show.
Henson joins from BET’s Don’t Sleep Hosted by TJ Holmes, where she served as a Supervising Producer. She has also served as a Talent Producer at Showtime’s Stephen A! and was a producer for shows including The Megan Mullally Show and Penn & Teller: BS .
Sader most recently worked as Talent Producer for Tavis Smiley, a position he held since 2003. Prior to that, he was Talent Producer for The Wayne Brady Show and a Talent Booker at Politically Incorrect With Bill Maher.
McDonald served as Senior Producer for Tavis Smiley from 2003 through 2013, booking musical guests including Prince, Jay Z, Alicia Keys, Tony Bennett and Mary J. Blige. He also produced and developed programming for CNN and HLN.
Prior to joining THE ARSENIO HALL SHOW, Crosby produced Tavis Smiley for six seasons. Prior to that, she was a Producer/Writer for The Jeff Corwin Experience and a Coordinating Producer for Starz! Movie News.
Storey previously served as Senior Producer of Tavis Smiley for seven seasons, during which the show earned two NAACP Image Awards for Outstanding TV News, Talk or Information series. In addition, she recently produced The Sundance Channel’s The Writers Room.
THE ARSENIO HALL SHOW is shot in Hollywood at the Sunset Bronson studios. It is produced by Eye Productions Inc., in association with Arsenio Hall Communications Ltd. and Octagon Entertainment Productions, and distributed by CBS Television Distribution. Arsenio Hall, John Ferriter and Neal Kendall are executive producers.
