Sonixphere, a global resource for everything connected to music and sound, is pleased to announce as part of its ongoing expansion into multiple sonic arenas, and to support and foster the continued rapid growth experienced since launch in August 2011, business development specialist and musician Dave Chudy has joined the company.
Chudy, holds a degree business administration from State University of New York, Buffalo, and is also an accomplished musician. His prior positions at Ricoh Business Solutions and IKON Office Solutions proved him to be a highly motivated, trusted and dynamic partner to clients, earning him Chairman’s Club Honors at Ricoh in 2011 for “150% achievement of sales quota” and also for growing his territory market share by 100%.
“Dave brings the best of both worlds to Sonixphere,” says CEO and Creative Director, Greg Allan. “He’s young and tenacious, understands both business and music really well, and like the team here at Sonixphere, he has accomplished a lot in a short time.”
A leader in providing original sonic content across all platforms, Sonixphere has quickly established itself as a trusted and inventive partner to clients in a wide range of sonic arenas including music and sound design for commercials, integrated marketing and web work, original music for TV shows, convention shows and audio branding. Recent commercial projects include music for Hyundai Veloster (Innocean USA, Huntington Beach, CA), a sound design package for OnStar(Campbell Ewald, Detroit), and a music and sound design package for US Bank (OLSON, Minneapolis).
“Since launching 20 months ago, our concept and business model have met and exceeded benchmarks we set for ourselves,” Allan points out. “We constantly push ourselves to think ahead and continue to expand our services because our clients’ needs are always foremost in our mind. ‘How can help them shine and win awards?’ is the question we ask at the start of each project. As we’ve gotten deeper into all the sonic arenas we’re operating in now, we needed to boost our business and creative support base to be able to really mine all the opportunities in the pipeline as well as on the horizon. Dave is a musician, so he can talk the talk, but he also knows the business landscape and clients are going to benefit from that powerful combination.”
“This is a dream job for me,” says Chudy, who plays drums. “I get to use my business skills (the left side of my brain) combined with my creative side (the right side). What a cool combination!”
Allan is enthusiastic as well. “Dave will be an asset to Sonixphere and integral to our continued growth. We welcome his fresh ideas!”

“ฦvolution” Comes Full Circle At The Chelsea Film Festival
The Chelsea Film Festival, running from October 16th through October 20th, 2024, at Regal Cinemas here in Union Square, is set to host the East Coast premiere of ฦvolution, a thought-provoking experimental micro-short film that proves big ideas can come in small packages and in perfect circles.
In just 1 minute 16 seconds, this cinematic gem by Award-Winning Director Romina Schwedler, with original music by Argentine Composer Ignacio Montoya Carlotto, explores a cycle as old as time: life leads to progress, progress leads to destruction, and destruction, well, leads back to life. But is this vicious circle unbreakable? ฦvolutionย suggests the answer is yes, unless we decide to open our eyes.
Inspired by the overwhelming number of recent events that threaten human existence,ย ฦvolution, possibly the shortest film in this 12th edition of the festival, plays out entirely through the symbolism of circles, cleverly illustrating โin the blink of an eyeโ the repeating patterns of history, and confronting viewers with the uncomfortable truth that our so-called โprogressโ may, in fact, be guiding us to our own ruin.Premiering at the Regal 14 Union Square, New York City, on October 18, 2024, at 11 a.m., Romina Schwedler's micro-short, featuring Leah Young with cinematography by Alan J. Carmona, will be sure to spark conversations longer than the film itself! Forcing viewers to reconsider the true meaning of evolution, not just as a biological process, but as a reflection of our collective journey as humans.
