Skateboard legend-turned-documentary filmmaker, Stacy Peralta (“Dogtown and Z-Boys”, “Riding Giants”, “Bones Brigade”), directed a cast of New Belgium co-workers in the brewery’s breaking spot campaign for Fat Tire Ale. The creative is out of Cultivator Advertising, Denver, CO.nnThe spots, “Pairs Well with People”: 30 and the :15s “Attractive”, “Friend / Unfriend”, “Make Up” and “Social Network” were shot over three days on location in Fort Collins, CO and feature the brewery’s real employees.nn”The company is populated with a large number of wild personalities who work very hard and who take crafting beer very seriously, yet they are very accessible and open. We had access to every physical aspect of the brewery and we were free to set up shots in whatever fashion we chose,” noted Peralta. “It was one of the most fun productions I’ve been on.”nnThe stylized documentary commercial “Pairs Well” highlights the unique characters of the employees and the brewery with its art-filled working environment. New Belgium employees also stepped in for roles in the :15s depicting different social situations where sharing a Fat Tire Ale can make all the difference. Peralta spent days in the brewery prior to the shoot getting to know everyone as part of the casting process.nn
