THE SPOTS
In two :30s for Genuity’s "Behind the Wall" campaign, key aspects of the company’s new "Black Rocket" eBusiness network platform are personified to demonstrate Genuity’s commitment to creating a complete and stable system. In "Security" a frustrated employee yells to a co-worker that the company is experiencing a computer network problem. The camera zooms behind a wall to reveal the network components sitting around a conference table discussing the security problem. "Network" is determined to find out who left the firewall door open, while "Access" and "Applications" deny responsibility. The next shot exposes two thieves quietly trying to sneak by with the missing files. Immediately, the network components stop arguing and capture the thieves while the voiceover announces, "We manage and monitor every inch of your network." "Continuity" opens with a crisis in a company’s phone lines. The Genuity system is shown behind the wall determining how the inoperative phone lines can be fixed. "Network" decides that "Voice" should handle this situation. Almost immediately, "Voice" switches to "Data" and the voiceover explains that Genuity "combines voice and data on a single secure network."
