Cinedeck LLC (www.cinedeck.com), pioneering developer of mobile capture systems for motion picture and broadcast production, today announced the appointment of Suzette Ferguson as Senior Vice President of Sales for North America. Ferguson’s appointment comes as Cinedeck leverages recent sales successes of its Cinedeck RX and MX solid-state record, monitoring and playback systems to major broadcasters, mobile OB operators and cultural institutions. These include Nickelodeon, MTV, All Mobile Video, The Paley Center for Media, New York, and Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution, Massachusetts, who have all integrated Cinedeck systems into their tapeless production and post production workflows.
Based in Los Angeles, California, Ferguson will manage Cinedeck sales across the US and Canada. In this role she will help to create new marketing initiatives, strengthen partnerships with channel partners, as well as building relationships among Cinedeck‘s current and future customers as they move into tapeless production and post.
A highly-successful media and entertainment software and hardware sales executive, Ferguson brings over 30 years of experience to Cinedeck, as well as an intimate knowledge of tapeless, file-based workflows. She has worked in consultative sales with major Hollywood Studios and post houses, such as Universal Studios/NBC, Walt Disney Studios, Deluxe Labs, EFilm, Technicolor, Ascent Media Group, and Laser Pacific/Kodak, assisting their transition into file-based workflows.
Ferguson joins Cinedeck from Assimilate, where she was Director of North American Sales and successfully brought SCRATCHreg; Lab, the new production and VFX dailies toolset, to market. SCRATCHreg; Lab brings playback and review, advanced metadata handling, intuitive color grading and seamless files-based integration to feature film and episodic TV shows. Prior to this, Ferguson held senior sales positions at Digital Vision, Silicon Graphics Inc., Quantel, and Avid.
“Content creators are more eager than ever to remove linear, tape-based bottlenecks from their workflows, and to embrace the advantages of going tapeless that file-based products like Cinedeck bring,” said Charles D’Autremont, CEO of Cinedeck. “While Cinedeck has enjoyed considerable sales success so far, Suzette’s knowledge and skills will help take Cinedeck to the next level. The timing of her arrival could not me more fortuitous as we leverage our tapeless message and maximize our sales opportunities across North America.”
Ferguson stated, “Cinedeck is recognized for tapeless innovation with its EX, RX and MX recorders, and is well-positioned for further success. I’m looking forward to enhancing the strong customer relationships the company has already built, while introducing the exceptional capabilities of its recorders to new customers wanting to go tapeless in the production, broadcast, mobile OB and post-production markets.
