Creative Agency Oishii Creative launches into fall with a new website: www.oishiicreative.com and an alliance formed with Director Steven Murashige, built on a longstanding working relationship and numerous projects together. Under this new partnership, Oishii and Murashige can collaborate in any capacity on commercial and broadcast work in the US and internationally. In addition to music videos for Rage Against the Machine and Incubus, the two have worked on promos for NFL Network and Nicktoons, a branding package for Epic Records, and ad campaigns for Ross.
“This union celebrates another chapter in an enduring friendship between Steven and me,” says Ismael Obregon, President/Creative Director of Oishii Creative. “We share a passion for design that expands across media; but it’s his pursuit of innovation that inspires me. It’s one of the main reasons why our relationship works so well.”
“Ish [Ismael] gave me my first industry job at Bedlam Postproduction as a motion graphics designer,” adds Murashige. “We continued our relationship on a number of projects as I began directing music videos and commercials. This long history of collaboration is the key ingredient of our success in working together. We have a short hand with each other and implicitly know one another’s tastes. This also gives us the ability to challenge and push each other to reach great heights.”

Steven Murashige is currently represented by David Naylor & Associates (DNA) for commercials and music videos. Previously with The Artists Company, he directed spots for Target, Budweiser, Olay and Verizon, and music videos for The Ataris, Talib Kweli, Mary J. Blige, Rage Against the Machine and Missy Higgins, among others.
His work has been recognized with an MTV “Woodie Award” for The Afters “Beautiful Love” music video, as well as nominations by the MVPA for Best Director of a New Artist for The Ataris “In this Diary” and Best Rock Video for Incubus “Pardon Me.” The latter also landed a Billboard Best Rock Video nomination.
Born and raised in San Gabriel, California, Murashige majored in Fine Art at UCLA, before transferring to The Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, California, where he studied graphic design and illustration, graduating with honors.
“Oishi Creative and I are in motion,” concludes Murashige. “The future is now.”
