The 2012 Mobius Awards for advertising has opened its 2012 Call for Entries with expanded competition opportunities for commercial photographers and a new category, Branded Content/Entertainment, for general entrants.
Lewis Blackwell of London, image expert and author, will oversee the photography judging panels. Blackwell, chief creative officer of Evolve Image, formerly was international creative director for Getty Images.
Photography entries are invited from commercial photographers and their agents or representatives and student photographers. In addition to Photography, Mobius Awards recognizes excellence in Branded Content/Entertainment, Brochure/Book, Cinema/In-flight, Direct, Integrated Campaign, Logo/Trademark (Brand Identity), New Media, Online, Outdoor/Out-of-Home, Package Design and Redesign, Point-of-Purchase, Print, Radio, Spec Advertising, Student and Television.
Mobius Awards, now in its 42nd year, presents First Place statuettes and Second Place certificates in each medium, plus Student and Spec work certificates. First Place winners compete for the Mobius Grand Prix-Best of Show in the various mediums. Entries in 2011 came from 29 countries.
Entries must have been created, produced, published, marketed, launched, screened or aired or reintroduced from October 1, 2011, through October 1, 2012. Deadline is October 1, 2012. Awards are announced in January 2013.
