With the explosion of social media and new media platforms, music is now being used more than ever before. How are copyrights being valued and compensated in this new world order? How important is music to the success of a project? The Production Music Association is presenting a discussion with respected industry experts to explore the intrinsic and monetary value of music on Thursday, June 21st at the BMI offices in Nashville.
Panelists include Joel Goodman, President of Cue Music and founder of MusicBox, Ron Mendelsohn, Co-founder and CEO of Megatrax, Mark Montgomery, digital media entrepreneur, investor and Founder of FLO (thinkery), Marshall Seese, Jr., founder & CEO or Mowgli Games, and Shawn White, Director of Business Affairs for Scripps Networks Interactive.
The event is open to all interested professionals. The cost to attend is $15 for non-members and guests and $10 for PMA members. The meeting will be held from 6:00 PM โ 8:30 PM at BMI’s Nashville offices located at 10 Music Square East. An RSVP is requested via email but walk-ins are welcome according to space availability.
